Biloxi Winter Fishing A Must Do

Winter fishing in Biloxi Mississippi.

If you are a fishing enthusiast, an avid fisherman, or beginner then Biloxi is a must do. We still use our bottom fishing techniques here in the winter. We also continue to use live bait throughout December and January. Live bait is the most attractive food for these fish. We typically do not see a wide variety of species here in the winter time, however you can still catch Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Flounder, and Sheepshead.

Man Fishing at Ship Island

The weather here in the winter can be cold at times. Typically that’s not the case, The temperatures here are normally in the 60s for highs and 30s for lows. Water temperature here stays in the upper 50s to the upper 60s most of the winter. January is this best time to catch the big black drum. Sometimes you can catch them all month long. They can be found offshore around the islands and inshore in the Biloxi bay.
